Today is 8th March, an International Women’s Day encourages the dedication that women demonstrate brilliantly almost in every field of life despite confronting enormous social, moral, and domestic hurdles.

The theme of this year's day, “invest in women,” to accelerate progress.” A number of functions and events will be organized in connection with the day.

A special Aurat March was held in front of Lahore Press Club led by different civil society organzations and individual activists and feminists on Friday

No phrase can elaborate on women's importance in greater words, than this meaningful couplet by national poet Allama Iqbal which reads: “Wajood e Zan Say Hai Tasweer-e-Kainat Mei Rung, Usi K Saaz Say Hai Zindagi Ka Soaz-e-Darun”

The world’s biggest search engine ‘Google’ is also embarking on International Women Day by changing its ‘Doodle’ featuring a colorful imprint with an adorable animated woman of all ages (teenage, young, and old).
