A high-powered promotions board will meet in June to consider promotion of at least 16 officers from grade 21 to grade 22.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair the board meeting. According to sources in the Establishment Division, promotion of 16 bureaucrats would be decided at the board meeting. A working paper is being prepared for the board meeting as well as panel lists of the officers who are going to get promotion.

At the meeting, promotion cases of officers from police, administration, inland revenue, foreign service and other groups will come under consideration at the board meeting. Cabinet Division and Establish Division secretaries and Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Azam Khan will be members of the promotions board.
