A special ceremony to pay homage to martyrs will be held on May 9, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported Tuesday.

The ceremony is being organized on the instructions of the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The families of martyrs will be invited while federal cabinet members and officials concerned will participate in the ceremony.

The prime minister will address the event and make an important policy statement.

Civil and military leadership along with diplomats will also participate in the ceremony.
