A rescue team of the Child Protection Bureau on Friday was attacked by the beggar mafia in Lahore, 24NewsHDTv channel. 

Reportedly, a team of the bureau was attacked when it was trying to take the child beggar into its custody at Mohini Road, near Data Darbar. 

According to Child Protection Bureau Chairperson Sara Ahmed, the beggar mafia brutally tortured the rescue team's staff. The female officer and rescue team staff were seriously injured. 

An FIR has been lodged against the mafia members on behalf of the rescue team. 

Shafiq Abad police station has arrested three suspects. Other accused are being identified from CCTV footage. 

She said strict legal action would be taken against the beggar mafia.
