Additional IG Finance Tariq Masood Yasin on Tuesday refused to work under newly-appointed IGP Inam Ghani.

In a letter written to Punjab government, Additional IG Finance Tariq Masood Yasin said: “New IGP Inam Ghani is a junior officer and I cannot work under him. I have worked with dignity.”

He requested the Punjab government to transfer him to other place.

As the Centre and the Punjab government decided to replace Capt (retd) Shoaib Dastgir and get a new person to lead the police force, the decision came in favour of Inam Ghani, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

As per notification issued Tuesday afternoon, Inam Ghani, who was previously serving as the Additional IGP (South Punjab), thus became the sixth person to serve as the Punjab Police chief under the PTI government which came into power in August 2018.
