PM approves appointment of press officers to 16 countries

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday approved appointment of 16 press officers in different countries.

According to a notification issued here on Wednesday, Imrana Wazir (Grade 20) was appointed press minister in New Delhi, Mariyam Sheikh (Grade 19) press counselor in New York, Hamid Raza Wattoo (Grade 19) press counselor in Ontario, Canada, Daniyal Gillani (Grade 19) press counselor in Paris, France, Dawood Ihtisham press counselor in Brussels, Shazia Siraj press counselor in Dubai, Muhammad Saleem press counselor in Singapore, Farrukh Rafique press counselor in Tokyo, Japan, Hamza Gilani press counselor in Jeddah, Fasiullah press counselor in Dhaka and Ambreen Gul press counselor in Tehran.

Moreover, the prime minister approved appointment of five officers of Grade 18 as press attachés to different countries. Jameel Ahmad was appointed press attaché in New Delhi, Maleeha Shahid in Washington, Saira Raza in Beijing, Faisal Ilyas in Cairo and Kulsoom Qaiser in Colombo.
