The people with special abilities Friday protested in front of Peshawar Press Club for pressing their demand for 4% employment quota, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has approved a 4% employment quota for disabled persons in 2018. Whereas, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and other tribal districts have also approved a 2% employment quota for disabled.

According to protesters, the government’s statement on giving a 2% employment quota to disable persons is restricted to statements only.

Education Department Khyber Pakhtunkhawa also showed reluctance in providing job opportunities to disabled people. Meanwhile, issues relating to education and employment are gradually increasing.

Protestors added that the government is paying no heed to their demand and if their issues will not be addressed they will continue with their protest.
