Country needs more cancer hospitals: PM Imran Khan

Prime Minister Imran Khan Saturday said that there is a dire need for cancer hospitals in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing the Shaukat Khanum Fundraising Event, the premier said that cancer’s patients have to be treated for a prolonged time.

PM Imran Khan said that people believe that it is impossible to survive cancer, adding that the treatment of cancer is costly.

PM Imran said that at the early stage of the diagnosis of the cancer disease, there is the possibility of the treatment.

The premier said that after the heart disease, most people succumbed to cancer, adding that the country feels blessed, if there is any cancer hospital for the treatment of the patients.

PM Imran said that the margin of the hospitals in Karachi is doubled.

The premier claimed the people of Pakistan has contributed the charity of Rs630 billion to Shaukat Khanum Hospital, adding that he lauds the nation for running the hospital after playing part in its construction.
PM Imran claimed that 40 years back, there was no facility for the treat of cancer.

PM said by listening the word cancer, people fears death, adding that the disease of cancer is quite different from other diseases.
