Taking notice of the demolition of a Hindu temple in Rahim Yar Khan, the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) on Monday demanded strict action against those responsible for the incident, reported 24NewsH TV channel.

In a statement, the CII said the incident created an atmosphere of anxiety and uneasiness across the country, particularly in people of the Hindu community, and that razing or burning down any place of worship is not only against the laws of the land but also against the Islamic teachings.

“Therefore, all those involved in the incident should be brought to justice as per the law,” the CII demanded.
