The way has been paved for dropping of liquor licence case against former Punjab chief minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in light of the amended NAB law, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

According to sources, NAB director general has recommended to wrap up the case against Usman Buzdar.

After new amendments, the NAB has no power to take action in a case relating to less than Rs500 million, the sources said.
The NAB prosecutor had informed the Lahore High Court on Thursday that the recommendation to close the case against Usman Buzdar has been forwarded to the NAB chairman.
After the NAB prosecutor’s statement, LHC’s Justice Baqir Naqvi and Justice Asjad Gharal disposed of the petition of Unicorn Prestige Limited.
