PSL 7 second phase blasts off at Qaddafi Stadium today

Pakistan Super League (PSL) Phase-II will be kicked off from Feb 10 at Lahore’s Qaddafi Stadium where six teams will battle it out who will reach the top, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Punjab's home department has set up a control room to monitor the overall management and activities of PSL-7.

Lahore’s authorities, civil and police, said the control room will work 24/7 under the supervision of Additionally Secretary Home (Internal Security).

The control room will be linked with the Safe City Authority cameras. And officers will perform live-monitoring of the teams.

Senior officers and officials of different units of Lahore Police including SPs, SDPOs, SHOs, Dolphin Squad, Police Response Unit and Elite Force will be performing security, patrolling and traffic management duties during the matches to ensure foolproof security of the event along with the smooth flow of traffic.

As per the security plan instructions by DIG Operations Dr Abid Khan, 11 SPs, 41 DSPs and 103 inspectors have been deployed.

Eight thousand lad constabulary will also perform duty at PSL matches and 65 pickets will be establish to counter any untoward incident. 

Moreover, six intelligence teams will perform their duty amid the PSL matches as well.

Lahore Traffic Police vowed to ensure smooth traffic flow amid the PSL7 matches and issued the traffic plan as well but lahorities and visitors must prepare themselves to face the traffic jams.

It has been advised that citizens must avoid travelling at Ferozpur and Canal Road in the afternoon and in evening.

Multan Sultan and Peshawar Zalmi will fight to win the first battle of PSL-7 Phase-2 in Lahore. 

Pakistan Cricket Board has thanked the spectators, armed forces,  police as well as the local and provisional administrations for their overwhelming support of the 15 HBL Pakistan Super League 2022 matches that were held at the National Stadium from 27 January to 7 February.

HBL PSL 2022 Tournament Director Salman Naseer: “The Karachi-leg of HBL PSL 2022 has set the tone for one of the most exciting and entertaining finishes in the tournament’s brief history. On behalf of the PCB, I want to thank all civil and security agencies who created and delivered a safe and secure environment for all participants.

“Their outstanding arrangements and measures were closely followed abroad and play a part in Cricket Australia confirming their tour of Pakistan for three Tests, three ODIs and one T20I,” he added.
