Young girl, boy killed for ‘honour’ in Peshawar

A 16-year-old girl and a 20-year-old boy were killed in the name of ‘honour’ in Peshawar and the killers turned out to be their own blood relatives, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Peshawar Superintendent of Police City (SP) Waqar Azeem said the killers of the girl and the youth in the name of ‘honour’ turned out to be their own relatives.

He said that after the murder the bodies were buried without a funeral however, now an FIR has been registered and three accused have been arrested.

The SP City said police took action on the suspicion conveyed to them by the locals after which a magistrate oversaw the exhumation of both the bodies.

Last year in March, a young man and a teen-aged girl were killed in the name of honour in Peshawar. 15-year-old girl's father Awal Gul allegedly killed the couple in the limits of Matni police station.
