The Cabinet Division on Tuesday issued a notification taking back the portfolio of Minister for Water Resources from Muhammad Faisal Vawda and he had already resigned from his seat in the National Assembly, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The resignation took effect from March 3, 2021, the notification reads.

It may be recalled that Faisal Vawda had cast his vote in the Senate elections and then resigned from his National Assembly seat and submitted the same to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on March 3.
