Federal Cabinet decides to make Toshakhana record public

Accepting the recommendations of a committee of ministers, the federal government on Thursday decided to make the record of Toshakhana public, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The approval was given at the meeting of the federal cabinet held in Islamabad.   

The cabinet also approved uploading the Toshakhana record on the Cabinet Division website.

Tariff for K-Electric consumers  

On the other hand, quoting its sources the channel reported that federal cabinet would today approve increasing power tariff for the consumers of Karachi-Electric (K-Electric) by Rs4.76 per unit.

Under the first quarterly adjustment of the ongoing financial year (FY), the electricity rate will be increased by Rs3.21 per unit, while under the second, there will be a hike by Rs1.55 per unit.  

Sources explained that the decision to raise the tariff had been taken to maintain the same rate across the country. 

They further said that consumers would be made to pay extra amounts in their electricity bills between March 2023 and May 2023.
