Student organizations in Federal Urdu University Abdul Haq Campus Karachi Thursday clashed over a welcome party given to new students, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

A student organization hosted a welcome party for the new students in the university and People’s Students Federation (PSF) and Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT) tried to stall it.

The police and Rangers personnel rushed to the campus and brought the situation under control as the exchange of bitter words between the student groups took an ugly turn.

PSF and IJT stated that they had even written a letter for not allowing the party to happen and yet, all the other federations in the university gave a go-ahead for the event.

The management banned all types of activities and events within the university premises after the clash between the students.
