The lawmakers are giving samples for coronavirus testing which has been declared mandatory before attending the upcoming sessions of National Assembly and Senate.

The National Assembly session will begin on Monday (May 11) and that of Senate on Tuesday (May 12).

The rules agreed upon for the Senate session say the testing facility is available in the dispensary at the Parliament Lodges.

No one will accompany the senators to the Parliament House while only one person is allowed for the federal and state ministers.

According to the rules, one official of over Grade-20 is also allowed to attend the session while the senators arriving at the Parliament House will face thermal scanning.

As far as the press coverage is concerned, the Parliamentary Reporters Association will nominate 10 to 12 members for the purpose.

Moreover, seats have been reserved for the Leader of the House, Leader of Opposition, ministers and the parliamentary party leaders, while the others senators can sit on the remaining available seats.

The senators have also been directed to use gloves, mask and sanitizer which would be placed on their desks.
