As the number of coronavirus patients has been constantly soaring, the Punjab government has decided to impose a complete lockdown three days a week.

Talking a private TV channel on Saturday, Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan announced relaxation in lockdown four days a week (Monday to Thursday). Shops and markets will be allowed to remain open during these four days. However, a complete lockdown will be imposed from Friday to Sunday in the province.

He said that notification of new orders will be issued shortly. “Mega shopping centres and plazas will not benefit from the relaxation in lockdown and will remain closed,” he added.
