Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan has warned President Arif Alvi and Punjab Governor Omar Sarfraz Cheema against backing ex-PM Imran Khan.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the interior minister said they should not invite public ire by becoming slaves to Imran Khan.

The presidency is not a PTI Secretariat, he said, adding that the president is bound to abide by the advice of the PM and he should refrain from violation of the constitution.

The president and Punjab governor should go home with honour and dignity, the federal minister insisted, adding that the president and the Punjab governor should abide by the constitution and the Supreme Court ruling.

Those who violate the constitution must be prepared for the punishment of the constitution, the court, and the people, the federal minister stressed.
