A division bench of Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) on Tuesday granted bail to Jang and Geo Editor-in-chief Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman ending around seven-month-long imprisonment in nab custody, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Supreme Court Division Bench led by Justice Mushir Alam and comprising Justice Yahya Afridi and Justice Qazi Amin granted the bail to Jang and Geo Editor-in-Chief Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman in exchange for a surety bond worth Rs.100 million.

Advocate Amjad Pervaiz appeared before the division bench and argued that his client had not damaged the national exchequer and the original FIR was against four people but only Mir Shakeel was arrested.
