PTI leadership brainstorming ahead of long march resumption 

March to restart from Wazirabad attack site tomorrow

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership has started brainstorming measures ahead of the onset of the next phase of its march to the federal capital, 24NewsHD TV channel reports.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan presided over the meeting of PTI at Zaman Park in Lahore. Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, Fawad Chaudhry, Ejaz Chaudhry, Azam Swati, Mian Mehmoodur Rashid, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Azhar, Yasmin Rashid, Aamir Dogar,  Umar Sarfaraz Cheema, Shafqat Mehmood, Ali Haider Zaidi, Sabtain Khan, Umar Ayub and Hammad Azhar are among the participants 

Umar Sarfraz Cheema briefed the leadership on the investigation into the Wazirabad attack, saying according to the briefings given to the IG Punjab and CTD, to the cabinet, more than one attackers targeted the Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman.

“Weapons and bullet shells used in the attack were recovered and the materials collected from the attack site are being sent for forensics. A three-member joint investigation team will be constituted tomorrow and investigations conducted by the local police will be provided to the team to proceed on the matter.”

In the meeting, the senior leaders decided to resume the real freedom march from the attack site in Wazirabad tomorrow.

After holding a large public gathering in Wazirabad, the march will proceed towards Rawalpindi while leaders from Faisalabad and other parts of the country will move towards Rawalpindi in convoys. They stressed that Tehreek-e-Insaf has only one basic demand that elections should be held as soon as possible. 

Convoys from across the country will reach Rawalpindi in the third week of November and assemblies should be dissolved and the way should be paved for quick elections in all four provinces, the meeting was told. 

A unanimous resolution was adopted to continue was also passed in favour of Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf in the meeting

Tehreek-e-Insaf MPs across the country, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, will jointly approach the Supreme Court and make a request for nominating  Shehbaz Sharif, Rana Sanaullah and Major General Faisal Naseer in the FIR.

The meeting is taking up security and other matters of the long march to give tough time to the government. PTI chief Imran has been on a campaign for a snap poll since his ouster from the prime minister's house through a vote of no-confidence in April.
