The Punjab Police Tuesday refuted the federal government’s claim regarding the Wazirabad march firing, saying the crime scene was preserved and complete evidence was collected from there.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, clarifying the accusations that the police had washed the crime scene and destroyed the shreds of evidence related to the gun attack on PTI Chairman Imran Khan, the Punjab forensic team arrived on time and collected all available evidence from the crime scene which had been preserved.

A spokesman of Punjab Police also claimed to have obtained the medico-legal certificate of the injured and Moazzam Gondal’s autopsy report.

He said that the police filed a report in the register of the Wazirabad city police station soon after the tragic incident occurred.

He further said that the police force is performing duty in three shifts to protect the crime scene around the clock. The impression that evidence is not collected in time or lost is not correct, he added.
