The PTI came into power with the slogan of ending corruption through relentless accountability, but it seems the story is different since 2018 when it comes to the party and government members, be it the BRT Peshawar or the Billion Tree Tsunami or the sugar scam.

In this scenario, the trickledown effect is a natural consequence which is proven by a 24NewsHD TV channel report on Friday, as a local PTI leader, Ayesha Raza Khan, was caught red-handed for power theft.

As the LESCO officials checked meter at her house in Wapda Town, it was noticed that she had been involved in power theft. She was able to do so by managing a hole into the meter.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered against Ayesha with the meter being shifted to the police station. The officials are now trying to determine how much electricity has been stolen so that the amount could be charged to the consumer.

Ayesha is an active PTI member and the party coordinator for PP-170 which covers the Lahore suburbs.
