The Establishment Division has started collecting details of the assets of bureaucrats who are aspiring for promotions to grade-20 and grade-21, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Sources told 24News that senior officials are, however, reluctant to disclose details of their assets.

The division is collecting assets’ details for their review at the Selection Board’s meeting to be held later this month. The Board will approve the promotions of over 100 civil servants to the next grades.

Sources disclosed that only 12 officers of the Customs department had so far declared their assets with 34 officers were still making up their minds.

Similarly, over 60 officials of police and other departments had not declared their assets as yet, sources added.

It is reminded here that it is binding on the officers to submit details of their properties in order to win the Selection Board’s approval of their promotions.

Giving orders for submitting assets’ details immediately, the Establishment Division had made it clear that the promotion cases of the officers failing to do so would not be taken up for consideration.
