Four more people have died of gastroenteritis in Pir Goth, Khairpur, taking death toll from the disease to 50 in flood-hit areas of Sindh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

Reportedly, 30 years old Mazhar Sheikh and three of his family members lost their lives due to gastroenteritis in the relief camp set up in Khairpur.

It is learnt that people in the relief camp are falling prey to gastro disease owing to the unhygienic conditions emerged after rains in the area.

It is the height of apathy on the part of Health Department, for the health officials have not set up medical relief camps across the district despite a visible rise in gastro cases.

The victims present a gloomy picture, for they lack facilities and curative care amid no medical camp in their area so far.
