The demonstration of visually-impaired people at Club Chowk Mall Road continued on the fifth day, 24NewHD TV channel reported on Monday.

Due to the protest, traffic is being diverted on Mall Road and Davis Road. The protesters say that they will continue protesting until their demands are met.

The visually-impaired people have been standing firm for their livelihood. They staged a sit-in at Club Chowk after having held demos on different streets of the Punjab capital.

The protesters demanded the quota for the appointment of government employees should be increased from 3 percent to 6 percent. As many as 150 visually-impaired work-charged employees have been staging a protest to press for their demands for proper jobs. The venue has been closed for traffic by installing barriers on all sides, triggering traffic trouble from Canal Road to The Mall.
