Two arrested in Pakpattan for attacking Punjab Food Authority team

Police in a suburban village of Pakpattan on Wednesday arrested two persons in connection with an attack on the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) team, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

In the video of the incident, which has surfaced, armed men can be seen holding the team hostage and even beating up its female members.

The suspects also snatched cash and cellphones from members of the team.

The PFA team, during a raid on a collection center in village 67 D, had recovered 1,000 liters of adulterated milk, which infuriated the suspects.

Taking notice of the incident, DPO Javed Chaddhar ordered the police to arrest those involved in the attack and register cases against them.

The DPO said that raids were being conducted to arrest accomplices of those taken into custody.
