Paris Jackson breaks up Justin Long after three-year romance
Paris Jackson has confirmed her split from fiancé Justin Long, bringing their three-year relationship to an end.
The 27-year-old daughter of the late pop icon Michael Jackson addressed the breakup in a post on X (formerly Twitter), where she shut down speculation surrounding photos of her appearing emotional near her father’s death anniversary.
“Those are breakup tears,” Paris clarified, replying to a Daily Mail article that implied she was mourning her father. “Y’all are fkn reaching again.”
Although Paris didn’t go into detail about the separation, fans quickly noticed that many of her Instagram posts featuring Justin have been removed.
The couple announced their engagement in December 2024, with Paris sharing a birthday post for Justin at the time.
“Happy birthday my sweet blue,” she wrote. “These past few years with you have been a whirlwind. I couldn’t imagine doing life with anyone else. Thank you for letting me be yours. I love you.”
Their love story began backstage at The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon in 2022. Speaking to Access Hollywood last year, Paris recalled their first meeting: “He was reviewing tape with us, and asked, ‘Can I give my two cents?’ I said, ‘I trust you,’ and we had a moment. Not long after, we started dating.”
In the months leading up to the breakup, the two had reportedly been preparing for their wedding. Paris revealed that her dress was in the works, the venue was chosen, and even the date had been selected with the help of an astrologer.
“Because I’m from L.A.,” she laughed, “it’s all about crystals and astrology.”
Though the relationship has ended, Paris is continuing her journey of self-growth. Earlier this year, she celebrated five years of sobriety from alcohol and heroin, receiving widespread support from fans.
