Boxing champion brings laurels to Pakistan  

WBO Youth World Champion Usman Wazir won his International Ranking Fight, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.

The Pakistani boxing star made history by defeating a Thai opponent at his home ground.

The Thai boxer was helpless in the face of Usman Wazir's aggressive style and was knocked out in the third round.

Usman Wazir from Gilgit-Baltistan attributed his victory to the oppressed Muslims of Palestine.

He remained unbeaten in his 12 international fights and is hopeful for the success of his international fight.

He expressed gratitude to the nation for the prayers and said he was determined to keep Pakistan's flag high in the field in the future as well. Pakistani envoy Yasir Hussain  was also present
