Eight suspected drug dealers killed in Gujranwala region crackdown

The Crime Control Department (CCD) of Punjab has escalated its province-wide crackdown on drug dealers following a 72-hour ultimatum, leading to the killing of eight alleged ice (crystal meth) dealers in reported police encounters, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.

A CCD spokesperson confirmed that three of the suspected dealers were killed in Mandi Bahauddin district, two in Gujrat, one in Gujranwala, one in Hafizabad, and one in Sialkot.

The operation is being led by the CCD Regional Officer and is part of an ongoing anti-narcotics campaign targeting what authorities describe as notorious drug distributors across the wider Gujranwala region.

“The crackdown against drug dealers continues, and they do not deserve any concession,” the CCD spokesperson stated.
