PM Shehbaz, KP CM Sohail Afridi to meet on Monday to discuss security situation

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi are scheduled to meet on Monday, sources said.

According to sources, the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be the main focus of the meeting. The chief minister is expected to brief the prime minister on concerns related to terrorism in the province.

Sources said the meeting will also review the ongoing operation in Tirah and the evacuation of local residents from the area.

This will be the first meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief Minister Sohail Afridi since the latter assumed office. Earlier, the chief minister had declined to visit the Prime Minister’s House, sources added.
