SC Public Facilitation Center helps 6721 visitors in one month

Supreme Court of Pakistan has brought justice more closer to the people by establishing the Public Facilitation Center, Islamabad which is designed as a one-window operation to provide a structured, standardized, and transparent solution under one roof. 

Serving as the face of the Supreme Court and as the principal conduit between the institution and the people, the Center reflects an institutional commitment to accessibility, clarity, and the orderly facilitation of judicial processes. 

The Public Facilitation Center integrates the Copy and Information Counter and the Institution Desk, delivering over 30 standardized services through a single platform. These include CMAs, institution of fresh cases, early hearing requests, case information, certified copies, file inspection, counsel-related matters, objections removal, and related facilitation. By consolidating services previously accessed through multiple points, the Centre minimizes unnecessary office-to-office travel and streamlines engagement with the Court.

In January, the Public Facilitation Center continued to play a vital role in expanding access to justice. During the month, the Center facilitated 6721 visitors seeking various services. A total of 1267 new cases were instituted, including 317 CMAs. Moreover, 195 early hearing requests were received, of which 125 cases were subsequently fixed. The Center also received 1415 requests for certified copies, successfully issuing 1311. 

Beyond numbers, the value of the Public Facilitation Center is reflected in the experience of those who engage with it. Litigants receive proper guidance, and individuals with special needs encounter a respectful, accessible, and inclusive environment. The transformation is reflected in reduced confusion, fewer repeat visits, and improved satisfaction. What was once overwhelming, informal, and fragmented is now calm, dependable, and structured.
