A mild earthquake struck a number of Punjab cities including Lahore on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC) in Islamabad, the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.4, with its epicentre located 25 kilometres south-west of Lahore, at the coordinates 31.33°N and 74.23°E, and at a depth of 14 kilometres.

Initial reports indicated that Sheikhupura, Okara, and Kasur also experienced the tremors. The quake caused alarm, but no immediate reports of casualties or property damage were received.

Multiple localities felt the tremors, which lasted for a few seconds, prompting many to evacuate buildings as a precaution. Citizens shared their experiences on social media, with some reporting swaying fans and light furniture movement.
