Sugar price increased in Lahore, Karachi

Sugar price registered an increase of Rs2 per kilogram in wholesale and Rs5 to 10 in the retail market in one week, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
In Karachi, sugar is being sold at Rs175 per kilogram in wholesale market instead of Rs173 after an increase of Rs 2 per kilogram, and the sugar is being sold at Rs185 to Rs190 per kilogram with an increase of Rs5 per kilogram in retail market.
One businessman said the price of sugar was increased due to a difference in sales and purchases.
In Lahore, a 50-kilogram sugar bag is being sold at Rs8,950.
It is necessary to mention here that the Punjab government failed to take any action in this regard.
