PMDC successfully conducts National Registration Exam in four cities

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has successfully concluded its National Registration Examination across four major cities in the country: Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

According to PMDC, a total of 390 MBBS and 1 BDS candidates appeared for the exam in Karachi. In Islamabad, 1,583 MBBS and 19 BDS candidates took the test. Peshawar hosted 442 MBBS and 3 BDS examinees, while Lahore saw the largest turnout with 2,538 MBBS and 15 BDS participants.

The PMDC stated that the exam was held transparently under the supervision of the National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS). The council reiterated its stance that only graduates from PMDC-recognised foreign medical and dental institutions are eligible for registration in Pakistan.

PMDC also emphasised that graduates from unrecognised institutions will not be registered, advising students to pursue education only from officially accredited foreign medical colleges.

The PMDC confirmed that the schedule for upcoming sessions of the National Registration Examination will soon be published on its official website.
