Rival student groups clash in Punjab University

Police have detained more than 45 students following a clash between two students’ groups at Punjab University, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday. 

Police sources revealed that the clash occurred between activists of Pakhtun organization and Punjab Council on the premises of the varsity.

Both parties used weapons during the clash, which resulted in injuries to numerous students, including the main suspect Haseeb, who was rushed to hospital for medical assistance. 

The university administration called the police after the clash to control the situation.
