We do not manufacture drawstrings, MTJ-Tariq Jameel clarifies

MTJ Brand on Saturday came up with the clarification about the price of drawstrings at their store. 

MTJ online posted an announcement on its Instagram page. 

The announcement reads, “It has come to our notice that MTJ-Tariq Jameel is being accused of selling drawstrings (Nara) for Rs550 apiece. We would like to clarify that the news is fake. We do not manufacture drawstrings (Nara) and our stores and website have never placed any such article for sale. Please beware of spreading false news and help us report those who are involved in this malpractice.”

The netizens have been trolling MTJ for the last few days on the price of a drawstring. A picture of a drawstring went viral with the tag of MTJ and a price tag of Rs550. 

The netizens have been questioning and mocking that how can it be possible that an Rs10 thing was being sold for Rs550.
