Former premier Imran Khan has dubbed as bogus the case against his spouse’s close aide Farah Khan, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Sunday.

Farah Khan has been in the real estate business for 20 years, Imran Khan told the media in Islamabad.

The ex-PM said:  “She has made money in real estate in three years the time when people dealing in his business had earned a lot from this sector” 

“She is not a public office holder,” he said and questioned the ground on which Farah has been framed in fraud cases.

“Farah is absolutely innocent and she should be given chance,” he stressed adding that Farah's fault is that she is a close friend of his spouse Bushra Bibi who is a housewife and has no bank account.

"I want to ask NAB: the case that you have opened against Farah Khan –  show it to anyone. Does this even merit a case?"

He stressed that it is the same case that Jemima faced regarding the alleged smuggling of tiles. 

Imran Khan alleged that the government uses money in media.  “Now you have become aware of the media which is standing with their evil designs. This mafia exerts pressure if someone refuses to take their side,” he said.

He said another major oppression is going to take place as the PML-N and PPP "will end all the cases against themselves."

He added they will give themselves NRO-2 to end the corruption cases against them by joining hands against him. Imran said that he wants to put the cases against the PML-N and PPP leaders before the nation on the white paper.
