Hamza visits Kot Lakhpat Jail, announces increase in salaries of cops

Newly elected Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz Sunday visited Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore and announced an increase in the salaries of the prison guards.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, CM Hamza inaugurated the Quran and Hadith Teaching Centre established in the Security Ward-II and announced 60 days of pardon for prisoners’ sentences. Hamza Shehbaz has spent 22 months in jail in this ward.
The CM announced to make the salaries of the prison guards equal to the Punjab police.
During the visit, Hamza also distributed Eid gifts among the prisoners and planted a tree in the lawn of the jail.
A Guard of Honour was presented to Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz when he reached the jail. Members of Punjab Assembly Abdul Aleem Khan, Khawaja Salman Rafique, Khawaja Imran Nazir, Hafiz Muhammad Noman, Additional Chief Secretary Home, Inspector General of Prisons, Commissioner Lahore, Deputy Commissioner Lahore and other officials were also present on the occasion.
