Man arrested for raping 13-year-old girl in Pindi Bhattian

An accused of raping a 13-year-old schoolgirl after abducting her in Pindi Bhattian has been arrested while efforts are underway to apprehend his accomplices, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday. 

According to police, the incident occurred as the girl was on her way to school on 30 April, when two unidentified suspects allegedly abducted her and took her to a house in the Alampura neighbourhood.

The police officials said the main suspect, identified as Shehzad, was already present at the location, where he allegedly assaulted the minor while the other suspects stood guard outside.

A case has been registered on the complaint of the victim’s mother, and the accused has been taken into custody, police said.

The victim has undergone a medical examination, and further legal proceedings are being carried out in accordance with the law, the police said.
