Notorious dacoit killed in Gujranwala police encounter

Most-wanted dacoit Ali Hamza was gunned down during an encounter with the Crime Control Department (CCD) in Gujranwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The Crime Control Department (CCD) sources said that police were searching for dangerous dacoit Ali Hamza for the last few days. 

The CCD further revealed that Ali Hamza is involved in more than 34 serious criminal cases, and he suddenly came face-to-face. Police asked him to surrender, but he and his accomplices declined to surrender and instead started firing on the CCD team.

During heavy exchange of fire, the accused Ali Hamza died, and his accomplices escaped from the scene.

CCD sources said that dacoit Ali Hamza was a professional accused and spent jail terms four times.

He committed different criminal activities on Commissioner Road, Civil Hospital Road, and inside Gujranwala.

Ali Hamza snatched many vehicles and motorcycles from the car park of Civil Hospital, Gujranwala.

There were five cases of dacoity, including 34 other cases, filed against him.
