Papa Gang ringleader arrested by Rangers in Karachi

Pakistan Rangers Sindh conducted an operation in Shah Faisal Colony of Karachi and arrested the ringleader of the Papa Gang, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

According to Rangers spokesperson, two mobile phones and a snatched motorcycle were recovered from the accused. 

The accused is involved in robberies, street crimes, firing, police encounters, snatching of motorcycles and mobile phones in different areas.

The accused is involved in about 200 to 250 robberies, 40 to 50 motorcycles snatching, 300 to 400 mobile phones and Rs5 to Rs6 millions.

The accused was injured in a police encounter in Bheens Colony and managed to escape in a police encounter in Shah Faisal Colony.

The accused is a habitual criminal and has also been arrested in Punjab on charges of robbery.

FIRs have been registered against the accused in several police stations in Karachi and Punjab.

Two of the accused's accomplices have been arrested by the Rangers and sent to jail, while efforts are underway to arrest the other accomplices.

The accused has been handed over to the police for further legal action along with the recovered goods.
