Another cop injured during TLP clashes dies in Lahore

A police constable who got injured in the clashes with the proscribed Tehreek-e-Labbaik succumbed to his injuries on Monday at General Hospital, Lahore, taking the toll to six, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
ASI Abu Bakr received injuries during violent clashes between the outlawed religious outfit activists and the law enforces.
According to the Lahore police spokesperson, Abu Bakr was made subject to torture by the violent banned TLP mob in Sidhoki. He was brought to the General Hospital, Lahore in injured condition. He could not recover and breathed his last on Monday.
The 51-yearl-old martyr ASI belonged to district Jhang. He joined the police department in 1990 as a constable.
ASI Abu Bakr has been survived by a widow and two daughters.
So far six policemen have embraced martyrdom who got injured in clashes with the violent protesters of the TLP.
The government and the banned TLP have reached a peace deal on Sunday following which the protesting activists of the proscribed religious outfit ended their more than a week-long protest and wrapped up their sit and stopped their march to Islamabad.
