Emirates flight faces GPS signals issue at Karachi Airport

A foreign airline’s flight confronted difficulties in receiving Global Positioning System (GPS) signals minutes before landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport late Tuesday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Sources told the 24News TV channel that the situation prompted the pilot of the Emirates flight, EK606, which was flying at an elevation of 3,000 feet, to immediately contact the air traffic control (ATC) at the airport.
The staff at the ATC helped the pilot safely land the plane at runway, 25 L.
It is pertinent to mention here that flights may deviate from the path due to a signal issue, which could lead to an accident.
