Punjab Chief Secretary Javed Rafique Malik on Friday ordered the closure of all the tourist sites until April 11 for public, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Punjab chief secretary said the decision was made due to recent spike in coronavirus cases.

The tourists places closed down for public immediately were Shalamar Garden, Jahangir’s Tomb and Hiran Minar.

The public is urged to discourage gatherings, wear facemasks and observe social distance.

The chief secretary said abiding these rules will contain the spread of Covid-19.
