Mohsin Naqvi inspects several under-construction projects in Islamabad
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi had conducted a whirlwind tour of the federal capital on Thursday morning inspecting a number of under-construction development projects, reported 24NewsHD TV channel
Firstly, the interior minister reviewed the progress of the under-construction Islamabad Model Jail project.
On the interior minister's instructions, the first phase of the Model Jail will be converted into a high-security prison.
On this occasion, Mohsin Naqvi said training of personnel assigned to the Model Jail will be completed by the end of April.
During his visit to Capital Police College, the interior minister sought an upgradation plan for the college.
Mohsin Naqvi directed that the training programmes be modernized with special focus on AI, IT and physical training.
He also reviewed the facilities provided at the Police Khidmat Centre in F-6 where he visited various counters and observed the process of service delivery to the people.
The minister said the government will continue its efforts at all levels to improve citizen services.
Mohsin Naqvi also laid the foundation stone for the extension project of Ataturk Avenue.
The interior minister also attended a ceremony during which two armoured personnel carriers (APCs) were handed over to the Islamabad police.
