Rains, hailstorm hit wheat crops, mango orchards in Multan

Torrential rains coupled with hailstorms damaged what crop and mango orchards in Multan on Thursday, reported 24NewsDH TV Channel.

The Meteorological Department has predicted intermittent heavy rains even late at night.  Rains will continue throughout the day tomorrow. As a result of rain and hailstorm, several power feeders were closed in Multan. The power outages was reported in Head Nobahar, Dunyapur Road, Qasimpur Colony and other areas.

There is a possibility of damage to wheat crops and mango orchards due to rain. 

Reports said that hailstorm damaged wheat and other crops. Farmers said hailstorm could reduce what production, posing a major financial setback for the agricultural community.

The extreme weather also led to a sharp drop in temperatures, with icy winds sweeping through the valley.
