Five children killed in mortar blast in Lakki Marwat
Five children were killed while 12 others, including 20 children, were injured in a mortar explosion in Sarband area of Lakki Marwat district on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
An emergency was declared at the City Hospital following the blast.
All children were stated to be between two and seven years old.
The hospital MS said that so far 17 people had been brought to the hospital.
The kids were playing at Sheikh Badin Ranges at Lakki Marwat which Fitna al-Khwarij frequently used as hideout.
The kids found a RPG round at the range considering it a toy which they brought with them at home and starting playing with it during which it exploded, resulting in death of five children and injuries to another 20 people.
Khwarij, PTM and PTI is trying to give it a different colour which is unfortunate, sources said and added don’t play politics on such unfortunate incidents at least.
There are multiple eyewitnesses to the factual position. If anyone is to blame it is the Khwarjis and their facilitator KP government and political/terror/crime nexus which wants to maximize their freedom of action by not doing any action through police and civil administration and taking on Army which goes after them, the sources added.
