JUI leader says military operations not a solution to Balochistan issue
Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, central secretary general of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) and member of the national assembly, has strongly criticized the ongoing security operation in Balochistan, stating that military action cannot resolve the province's long-standing issues.
In an official statement released by JUI-F's media cell on Saturday, Haideri asserted that military operations are not the solution to Balochistan's problems.
"Military crackdowns, mass arrests, and detentions without cause are not viable solutions to Balochistan’s problems. These measures only deepen the sense of alienation and distrust among the people of the province."
The solution to Balochistan’s issue lies in meaningful and purposeful dialogue, he stated, urging the government to adopt a political approach rather than relying on force.
Maulana Haideri reiterated his party’s stance that peace in Balochistan can only be achieved through mutual understanding, justice, and addressing genuine grievances through negotiation.
His remarks come amid intensified security operations across Balochistan, which have reportedly led to numerous detentions in recent weeks.
