Bangladesh set for busy 2026 home calendar with Pakistan, India and Australia tours

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a packed home international calendar for the 2026 season, with the national side set to host four Test matches, 12 One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and nine Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).

According to 24NewsHD TV, the Bangladesh home season would begin in March, following the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, with Pakistan touring Bangladesh for a three-match ODI series.

Pakistan will then return in May for a two-Test series, which will form part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025–27 cycle.

“The confirmed itinerary ensures a season full of international cricket in Bangladesh, providing supporters across the country the opportunity to watch top-level cricket at home,” the BCB said in a statement, adding that details of match venues will be announced in due course.

New Zealand are scheduled to tour Bangladesh in April and May for a full white-ball series, comprising three ODIs and three T20Is.

They will be followed by Australia in June, and India in August and September, with both teams set to play three ODIs and three T20Is each.

The home season will conclude in October and November with a two-Test series against the West Indies, also part of the World Test Championship.

A three-day warm-up match will precede the series from October 22 to 24.

 The first Test is scheduled from October 28 to November 1, while the second Test will be played from November 5 to 9.

In addition to the senior international fixtures, the Sri Lanka A team will tour Bangladesh in May 2026 for a series consisting of two four-day matches and three one-day games, further adding to a busy and high-profile home season for Bangladesh cricket.

The announcement came as the BCB unveiled Bangladesh’s complete home international calendar for the 2026 season, featuring bilateral series against Pakistan, New Zealand, India, Australia and the West Indies across all three formats.
