BFF Este Haim marries as Taylor Swift cheers from the aisle

While American singer Taylor Swift has yet to make her own walk down the aisle, her closest friend has beaten her to it. Este Haim, the HAIM bassist and longtime member of Swift’s inner circle, rang in the New Year by marrying tech entrepreneur Jonathan Levin in an intimate yet star-studded ceremony.

The 39-year-old musician wed Levin on New Year’s Eve at the Hotel El Roblar in Ojai, according to People, with Swift, 36, attending as the guest of honor. The moment marked a joyful milestone for one of the pop superstar’s most trusted confidantes.

Este’s bond with Swift stretches back years, spanning music collaborations, backstage moments, and a deep personal friendship. Alongside her sisters Danielle and Alana, Este has remained firmly embedded in Swift’s inner circle, often praising her talent and loyalty.

She has previously described Swift as "the best and a total genius," while Swift herself once joked that she is the band’s "fourth Haim sister."

For the wedding, Swift turned heads in a shimmering gold sequin dress and was photographed reconnecting with another music legend, Fleetwood Mac icon Stevie Nicks, 77.

Swift and Nicks have shared a close friendship for years. Nicks once praised Swift in a Rolling Stone interview as "one of the greatest songwriters of our time," while Swift has frequently cited Nicks as a defining influence on her own work.

Este’s wedding follows another emotional milestone for Swift, who attended the September nuptials of close friend Selena Gomez when she married longtime partner Benny Blanco.

Meanwhile, attention continues to swirl around Swift’s own impending wedding. Her romance is widely seen as heading inevitably toward "I do," with reports suggesting that both the date and location may already be in place, pending agreement on one crucial issue: the size and style of the celebration.

The couple stunned fans on August 26 when they announced their engagement through a carousel of garden photos, paired with the playful caption, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."

The post ignited immediate fan frenzy, with followers dissecting every detail, from supposed Easter eggs to Swift’s Old Mine Brilliant Cut diamond ring, which has already sparked a surge in similar designs.

Speculation has only intensified around where and when the wedding will take place. The buzz grew so loud that a local council in Queensland, Australia, even went viral after publicly begging the couple to marry there.

A source told the Daily Mail exclusively that the pair have settled on Swift’s sprawling $28 million oceanfront mansion in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, the same estate that once hosted her famously extravagant Fourth of July parties.

"His family doesn't care where it's at. It could be in Timbuktu and they'd go there for it. But yeah, right now is that it's going to be in Rhode Island at her mansion," the insider revealed.

While the venue appears locked in, the vision for the wedding itself remains a point of negotiation. "He wants a big blowout with everyone he loves, but he did say that he has to run it by her. So I’d guess he wants a bigger thing than she does," the source added.

That difference could prove complicated, given the couple’s enormous social circles. Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammates, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who has already congratulated the pair, are expected to be among the guests.

Swift’s longtime friends, including Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, and Cara Delevingne, quickly showed support by liking her engagement announcement.

One notable absence from Swift’s current orbit is Blake Lively.

The former close friendship cooled significantly after Swift’s name became entangled in Lively’s legal dispute with Justin Baldoni last year. Although a subpoena involving Swift was eventually dropped, the fallout appears to have caused lasting tension.

Regardless of the final guest list, Swift’s Rhode Island estate offers a cinematic backdrop. Spread across five acres, the property boasts manicured gardens, a pool and pool house, expansive patios, and 700 feet of private beach frontage.

The eight-bedroom, ten-bathroom mansion, complete with eight fireplaces, was purchased by Swift in 2013 when she was just 23.

She reportedly paid for the home outright in a single wire transfer. At the time, its proximity to then-boyfriend Conor Kennedy’s family compound in Newport raised eyebrows. After their breakup, Swift made the property her own secluded haven.

Over the years, the estate has hosted a rotating cast of A-listers, including Selena Gomez, Cara Delevingne, and former partners Tom Hiddleston, Calvin Harris, and Joe Jonas.

More recently, Swift welcomed Kelce and close friends there in August 2024 for a private getaway.

With reports of a $1.7 million expansion already underway, speculation is growing that Swift may be preparing the estate for her most extravagant celebration yet, and the symbolic beginning of a new chapter with the NFL star.

Beyond the wedding, attention is also turning to where the couple might eventually settle. Between them, Swift and Kelce own an extensive portfolio of high-end properties.

Swift entered the real estate market at just 19, purchasing a three-bedroom penthouse in Nashville for $1.99 million. Since then, she has accumulated luxury homes across New York City, California, Rhode Island, and Tennessee.

Kelce, a three-time Super Bowl champion, owns a $6 million estate in Kansas City, which served as the setting for their engagement photos. The couple was also spotted house hunting together in June in Cleveland, Ohio, Kelce’s hometown, signaling interest in a shared residence despite their existing holdings.

According to Cleveland Scene, the pair "visited at least two opulent homes currently for sale in Northeast Ohio's tony Eastside suburbs," with the outlet noting that "wealth is abundant" in the neighborhoods they explored.

Kelce grew up in Cleveland Heights alongside his brother Jason, a former Philadelphia Eagles star, but the couple appears to be aiming even higher as they plan their future.

For now, Swift remains firmly in the role of supportive friend, cheering from the aisle as Este Haim begins married life, even as the world watches, waiting for the moment when the pop icon herself finally steps into the spotlight as a bride.
